This position is available for high school students, College and University Students needing community service hours or seeking experience for a teacher's college or a variety of graduate programs in different fields. Volunteers over the age of 18 must acquire a Police Criminal Record Check.
Applicants must have access to a good connecting internet connection.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervision while the Teacher is conducting the program
Prep before class
Tidy up during and after class
Assist the teacher if a student is having difficulties understanding the activity
Observe if a student is engaging with the group but is being missed
Make announcements at the beginning of class. i.e. for students to take out their materials
Make announcements at the end of class about future classes. i.e. if the class is cancelled or what they will be doing next week
Summer Volunteers must attend the mandatory Orientation
All volunteers must be enrolled in high school, college or university at the time of volunteering or applying to a graduate program.
Art Works Art School welcomes outside proposals by intern or coop students and partnering organizations placing coop students who fall within the mandate of Art Works Art School and are suited to or can be worked into the guidelines, schedule, content and parameters of the overall programming of our school and gallery. All outside projects proposed by our partnering organizations must be shared and discussed collectively with the intern/coop student, mentoring instructors, administrators, and approved by the director of the school before consideration.
